Passionate about sports and immersed in art, Ali grew up to be a fitness enthusiast and progressed to become an Industrial Designer.
Long periods of sitting and standing still at his computer led to familiar feelings of fatigue, discomfort, and pain.
Ali needed something to get him up more often and enable movement instead of standing still - without disrupting his workflow.
His pains sparked a design passion project which 40+ prototypes later turned into Movemate.

Ali introduced Sohail to Movemate while working a demanding desk-bound job and simultaneously rehabbing a lower-body injury.
Movemate helped him sustain better energy and focus throughout the day. It also helped prevent discomfort in his hips, back, and neck.
As a bonus, Movemate allowed him to finally follow his physical therapist's constant advice to sit less and move more throughout the day.
Movemate helped transform the way Sohail worked so much so that he was convinced to quit his job and join Ali in bringing it to the world.
